I really enjoyed them. The copy I read was a print-on-demand paperback from House of Stratus that I found on Amazon for about $10 US. Worth seeking out. Also, I didn’t really have space to mention it (this was already one of my longest JBJ reviews) but there’s a good bit of talk about the Sagas, which only underscored the faint essence of Tolkien.
I’m going to have to get a copy of The Watcher by the Threshold—weird fiction, Buchan, and a thoroughly Tolkienian air ticks a lot of boxes.

Even better!
Honored for the mention!
Thank you for the inclusion!
Very much appreciate the straight talk on this subject.
I greatly appreciate the piece. The “pipe-weed-as-cannabis” nonsense is one of the more annoying legacies of the films.
